1. Michael Hutchings

Hutchings was Cal Hi-Sports' Mr. Football, the award given to the state's best player, after leading the Spartans to their fourth straight CIF Open Division state title. He led De La Salle with 113 tackles. "Great player. He's got it all. Size, speed, character. Would like to have him," said one Pac-12 recruiter. Held offers from Cal, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah, Washington.
College: USC.
2. Darrell Daniels

Daniels was a do-it-all star for the BVAL champions who caught 54 passes for 947 yards and 11 touchdowns. Was rated the No. 150 overall prospect in the country by ESPN and a top-20 receiver by ESPN and Scout. "Another big guy that shouldn't be able to run as fast as he does. The future's real bright," one recruiter said. "Really good player. Could play either side of the ball. Good size, very physical," a Pac-12 recruiter said. Had a dozen offers, including Cal, Michigan, Notre Dame and
Oklahoma State.College: Washington.
3. Austin Hooper

Hooper wasn't utilized often in the Spartans' veer offense, but flashed his athleticism when he was. He also was a standout defensive end who led the team in sacks. "Really liked him. Smart, aggressive, can play either side of the ball. Good size, extremely tough," one Pac-12 recruiter said. Stanford expects to use him at TE. "That's what Stanford's winning with, those big, tall, physical tight ends. He'll fit in perfect," another recruiter said.
College: Stanford.
4. Takkarist McKinley

A raw athlete with incredible speed for his size. Took first in the 200 meters at NCS Meet of Champions in 2012 in his first season running track. "A lot of good football's ahead of him," said one Pac-12 recruiter. "Great athlete. Huge upside. Potentially, the sky's the limit," said a Mountain West coach. "How's a kid run that fast and be that big? He's an unreal one. I think he's the No. 1 sleeper," another recruiter said. Considered Washington State.
College: Cal.
5. Ray Hudson

Hudson was an early commit to Cal and that kept his recruitment relatively quiet. He opened his recruitment back up briefly after Jeff Tedford was fired and drew some additional interest. A high school wide receiver, he has the size to develop into a pass-catching tight end in college. "One of the premier tight ends," a Mountain West recruiter said. "Pass catching tight end that can play wide receiver. He really blew up," another recruiter said.
College: Cal.
6. Kevin King
DB ? ? ? ? ?6-3 ? ? ? ? ?183 ? ? ? ? ?Bishop O'Dowd
A long, rangy cornerback who is a bit on the lean side but could grow into a big-time defender. "Good size. Can play corner or safety. Got a huge upside," a Pac-12 recruiter said. Another recruiter compared him to current Husky and former McClymonds star Marcus Peters, who was No. 2 on the 2011 Crop. "Going to fall right in the footsteps of Marcus Peters. This kid's longer than Marcus I think."
College: Washington.
7. D.J. Moffitt
LB ? ? ? ? ?6-2 ? ? ? ? ?205 ? ? ? ? ?De La Salle
One of four standouts from the Spartans' defense and the only one yet to make his college decision. "It's amazing how many of those guys are all on one team," one recruiter said. Offers from Arizona, Colorado, Houston, Nevada, UNLV, Utah and Washington State. "Just a good football player," said one Pac-12 coach. "Steady linebacker. Always in position," said a Mountain West recruiter.
College: Undecided.
8. Matt Anderson

Rated by Scout.com as the nation's No. 2 kicker. He's already graduated early from high school and enrolled at Cal. He'll join the football team for spring practice. "Big leg," said one Pac-12 coach. "Everybody forgets how valuable kickers are. I think he's underrated," another recruiter said. He was 8 of 17 on field goals as a senior, with a long of 50, and made 29 of 31 PATs. "He's money," a Mountain West coach said.
College: Cal.
9. Marcellus Pippins
DB ? ? ? ? ?5-10 ? ? ? ? ?175 ? ? ? ? ?El Cerrito
Pippins helped the Gauchos roll off 13 straight wins before falling in the NCS Division III championship game. A bit undersized, but makes up for it with his ability. "Great feet, good quickness and good ball skills," one Pac-12 recruiter said. Committed to Utah in October but gave some late consideration to Washington State after a visit. Also had offers from UCLA, UNLV, San Diego State and Utah State. "Everything you want in a corner," another recruiter said.
College: Utah.
10. Warren Miles Long
RB ? ? ? ? ?5-11 ? ? ? ? ?195 ? ? ? ? ?James Logan
Ran for 1,700 yards and totaled 24 touchdowns. "Best back in the Bay Area," one recruiter said. "Smart, high character, tough," one Pac-12 coach said. He committed early while also holding an offer from Colorado and generating interest from others. "Academically, he can run for president," a Big Sky recruiter said.
College: Northwestern.
11. Victor Egu
LB ? ? ? ? ?6-3 ? ? ? ? ?215 ? ? ? ? ?De La Salle
Another part of De La Salle's dominant defense. Was a Cal commit, but after the coaching change, the Bears wanted him to switch to DE but didn't have a spot for him. Had other Pac-12 offers, but chose the Ivy League route. "Overachiever. Decent size. Got a lot of room to improve. Very raw," one Pac-12 coach said. "Could be the sleeper of that (DLS) group. Great upside," a Mountain West recruiter said.
College: Yale.
12. Ryan Dunn
LB ? ? ? ? ?6-3 ? ? ? ? ?205 ? ? ? ? ?San Ramon Valley
Dunn committed early and that likely kept him from receiving more offers. Probably needs to add some bulk to his frame. "Good player that will grow into the position well," a Mountain West coach said. "Huge upside, good size, can run," a Pac-12 recruiter said. "Can knock you silly," another recruiter said.
College: Arizona.
13. Chidobe Awuzie
DB ? ? ? ? ?6-0 ? ? ? ? ?185 ? ? ? ? ?Oak Grove
Was the Blossom Valley Athletic League Mount Hamilton Division senior of the year. Being recruiting as a corner, but also rushed for over 1,200 yards and scored 21 touchdowns for the Eagles. Will announce between Colorado, Washington State and San Jose State, with Colorado the favorite. "Potential NFL corner," a Mountain West recruiter said.
College: Undecided.
14. Kenneth Olugbode
LB ? ? ? ? ?6-1 ? ? ? ? ?205 ? ? ? ? ?Bellarmine Prep
Was originally a San Jose State commit who flipped to Colorado after coach Mike MacIntyre left the Spartans for the Buffaloes. Could play linebacker or safety in college. "Good spatial player," a Mountain West coach said. "An absolute freak of nature as a linebacker. Going to grow into a big, big man," a Big Sky recruiter said.
College: Colorado.
15. Olito Thompson
RB ? ? ? ? ?5-10 ? ? ? ? ?210 ? ? ? ? ?Concord
Thompson rushed for a NorCal record 3,488 yards as a junior. He didn't approach that in his senior year, but still gained 1,847 on the ground. "He didn't have the year I thought he would have. I thought his senior year he'd be unstoppable," a Big Sky recruiter said. The drop off didn't completely deter interest. "Good back. Tough runner, physical," a Pac-12 coach said. He also had offers from Arizona, Utah, Nevada and San Jose State.
College: Washington State.
16. Caleb Coleman
WR ? ? ? ? ?6-0 ? ? ? ? ?178 ? ? ? ? ?St. Mary's
The first thing scouts notice about Coleman is his speed. "Speedster, burner. Can be a great slot player," a Mountain West recruiter said. He caught 41 passes for 719 yards and nine touchdowns in the regular season for St. Mary's. "I love him. He's probably the best receiver, beside (Darrell) Daniels," a Big Sky recruiter said. Chose Cal over offers mostly from the Ivy League and service academies.
College: Cal.
17. Ryan Severson
RB ? ? ? ? ?5-11 ? ? ? ? ?195 ? ? ? ? ?Valley Christian-San Jose
Another former San Jose State commit who followed coach Mike MacIntyre to Colorado. Rushed for 1,951 yards and had 39 total touchdowns while leading Valley Christian to the CCS Division III title. "Tremendous speed, really athletic, tough kid. A blazer," a Mountain West recruiter said. Has deceptive speed for his size. "People don't think he's that fast, but he is that fast," a Big Sky coach said.
College: Colorado.
18. Dante Mayes

Size is a bit of a concern. "Everybody kind of fell off him because they thought he was a little short, a little skinny. People forgot how good he is," a Big Sky recruiter said. A dual-threat type who isn't designed to throw on every down. Has drawn comparisons to Colin Kaepernick, both in looks and playing style, and will attend Kaepernick's alma mater. "He looks like he could be Kaepernick's brother. He's that type of guy too. Good player. Going to be a steal," a Mountain West coach said.
College: Nevada.
19. Karris Johnson

Big back that some scouts say rivaled Long as the top back in the area. "At a big-time school, that's what I want (my running back) to look like," a Big Sky recruiter said. "He's the real deal," a Mountain West coach said. "Can catch the ball. Good ball skills. Will run it up inside. Can get to the edge," a Pac-12 recruiter said. Considered Colorado State, UNLV and Cal Poly.
College: Utah State.
20. Vita Vea

First-team all-state selection. Athletic enough that he saw time at running back. "The guy could be a force for somebody on defense," a Mountain West recruiter said. Has lots of offers and interest, but academic eligibility issues likely will force him to a junior college.
