Need Roleplayers for The Rough Riders

The Rough Riders

In the Kingdom of Verdentia, things weren't going so well. There was fighting among different groups and cultures. Crime rates were at an all time high. None of the eight fiefs were getting along. The people wanted an end to all this. A man from the Volcano Fief came into the Capital City of Verdentia: Halshabar. This man promised the people that. That person was only known by his first name: Sephirothi. As expected, the people praised him and elected him as King of Verdentia. Unfortunately, the newly crowned king lied. Sephirothi was power hungry and willing to promise anyone anything to become the King. The Times of Misfortune began. Sephirothi hired a bunch of assasins to hide among the crowd and kill anyone who didn't do his bidding. The people of the Kingdom of Verdentia were forced to work in warehouses with harsh conditions and no pay.The ones who were so willing for change got change, but not the change they wanted. Fortunately, one former assasin of Sephirothi decided to turn against the King. That man is only known as The Renegade...

As the sun set in the west, the full moon rose in the east. A shadowy figure in a cloak plastered himself against the wall of Verdentia Palace, the highest building in Halshabar. Using his cloak, he made the impression of being invisible against the wall as two guards walked by. No one noticed him. No one even knew he was here. They probably thought he was out of the city and in the Desert Fief by now.
He quickly scaled the wall and hopped over to the other side. Without hesitation, he scurried over to the bush and blended in with his surroundings. The Garden of Passion, a remarkable place where the grass stayed green, no matter what time of year. The lake in the center reflected the moon, a glittering sphere on the almost transparent water.
The cloaked figure quickly made his way from bush to tree to tree and back to bush, the occasional bench in between.
So far so good, he thought as he hid behind the tree closest to the entrance to Verdentia Palace. He climbed the tree, not making any sounds and careful not to rustle a single leaf among him. Now at the top, he surveyed the entrance.
Two guards, he calculated, one way in and a wall to the right of me. He drew a deep breath. If he timed it just right, he could leap to the wall, scale it, and enter through the balcony door without a single soul noticing.
He waited until the guard closest to him looked at the other guard. The other guard looked back. In that time, the cloaked figure jumped from the tree and clinged to the wall. He began to climb.
A coversation struck up between the two guards. Good, the cloaked figure thought, it will distract their eyes and ears, their most valuable senses.
He wasted no time. He climbed to the nearest balcony and entered through the door. He was in a guest room. Unoccupied. Except for him. Lady Luck was still on his side.
He quickly undressed his cloak and put on the guard outfit he had "obtained" a couple of days before. He hid the cloak and all of his weapons underneath the bed. This unnerved him. His variety of weapons were the safety net of him. They made him feel secure. Now, if he was caught, his only defense was this sword that came with the outfit.
Oh please don't get caught, he thought as he opened the guest room door and peeked out. The hallway seemed empty. Quietly, he left the room and walked through the hallways of the palace as if he was meant to be there. A few people passed by. No one gave a second glance. It was working.
He found a spiral staircase, stating he was on the third floor. He quickly began to climb the staircase. The fifth floor was where he needed to go.
As he reached this floor, his mind raced. This was a restricted area for everyone. If he was caught, even in his outfit, it would mean the end of him.
He scurried through the hallway, trying to make the clanky armor of his guard suit as quiet as possible. It wasn't easy. The metal material kept clashing together, making a small echo in the hallways. He had to be careful of anyone walking around here.
He continued his way theough the hallways until he came to a room marked "Plans". Perfect, he thought. He was at his destination.
He entered and found the room empty. Plans were scattered everywhere. Assasin patrols, Guard positions, even a three-dimensional model of Halshabar, with little figures of assasins and guards. Tomorrow night was a special evening for the Kingdom of Verdentia. The ambassador from the Kingdom of Sarcramen was coming over to sign a bill that will station more troops and assasins in Verdentia. He could not let that happen.
The ambassador of Sarcramen was not a well liked figure in Verdentia. Chances were, there were going to be some assasination attempts tonight.
Unfortunately, it appeared that King Sephirothi knew that as well for he had assasins and guards posted all over the place, making sure that if any assasination attempt happened, they could stop it pretty quickly. King Sephirothi was even issuing a city wide curfew at 6:00 tomorrow and anyone found on the streets from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am would be killed.
He looked down at the diagram before him.
"Well," he said aloud to himself,"I think it's time for some rearranging..."

King Sephirothi sat with the Ambassador of Sarcramen at the dining room table. The feast was going stronger than ever. So far, the nigh had been a success.
"So, Ambassador," the king said politely,"Have you decided?"
The Ambassador stood up in his chair and raised his wine glass high.
"King Sephirothi,"he cheerfully said,"I have decided to-"
He never finished that sentence. Instead, a look of shock, then utter pain appeared on his face. Finally, his eyes closed as he fell over and his face splattered in a heaping serving of mashed potatoes. A single dart was protruding from the back of his head.
Screams rang out. The people were running out of the building as fast as their legs could carry them. A peasant was trying to merge in with the chaotic crowd, but King Sephirothi saw him, drew his sword, and slit his throat.
"Where are the guards?!" Sephirothi cried out as he ran through the hallways. Not a single person was there, no guards or assasins.
"Where are the guards?!" he cried once more as he went to the entrance of the palace. No one stationed at the door, no ground patrols around the perimeter.
"Where is everyone?!" the king boomed in rage. In that moment, he turned around a corner and a look of utter shock appeared on his face.
The guards and assasins were all standing around the West Entrance, an entrance not used for years.
The anger in King Sephirothi's eyes could kill a person as he stormed over to the guards.
"Where were you?!" he bellowed in rage,"The ambassador was assasinated!"
"But sir," a guard replied in confusion,"We recieved a plan to guard this entrance because that was where the assasins were most likely to show up. We thought those were your orders."
Voices sprang up in the crowd of guards and assasins, all agreeing with what the guard just said.
Too angry to think, King Sephirothi stomped into his palace and climbed the staircase to the fifth floor. He walked over the the door marked "Plans" and banged open the door.
Sure enough, the 3-D model was arranged as the guards were positioned, around the West Entrance.
The angry king's mind raced. Only one person could have scaled through all of the defenses unnoticed into the room and changed the plans. Only one person was daring enough to do so.
The guards and assasins shuddered as the king's voice rose out of the palace and formed one word:
"RRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEENEEEEEEEEEEEEEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!!!"

Meanwhile, the cloaked figure who had arranged the plans yesterday was smiling to himself as he entered the Forest Fief. He knew that his sabotage was successful. But he also knew that he needed help if he wanted to bring this menace down.
He stumbled into a small clearing in the forest. This is a perfect place to start The Rough Riders

A few days later, telegrams were slid under every door in every fief. They read:
This is to whoever wants to make a stand against King Sephirothi.
I am The Renegade. I want to bring down King Sephirothi as much as you do, but I will need help to do so.
I am calling recruitment for anyone who has any skill with any weapon or weapons or any skill at being crafty and sneaky. I would like as many people as I can to join The Rough Riders. We can find a place for you to be among our ranks.
We can bring down the King. We can establish peace for everyone. But we need you to help!
If you are interested, travel to the Forest Fief. Seek a man in a black and white Jester costume. Whisper in his ear: "The Renegade Lives". And he will show you the way. I wish you luck.
From,
The Renegade

Right now, I do need more enemies than allies at this point. Now would be a great time for The Master Assasin leader to step forward right now. I don't really need a King Sephirothi part yet, but if it comes to that point, I will end up playing the king. If you like playing the bad guy, I highly encourage you to join this roleplay. I'd also like some males in the Rough Riders. Link is here: roleplay/the-rough-riders/
